Why do we speak? A silly question to ask but because I’m asking to inquire, it’s a great start. I don’t know what is going to come as an answer, maybe be answer is not important, or one can say it’s not an answer that is going to come as an inquiry.
Not speaking feels much more natural
to oneself. To speak is to convey something in words and words have other roles
to play. Words are dangerous sometimes. One speaks not because there is an urge
to speak, but because there is something to say because at times it’s
important.
There are times when silence
is all one needs. It is better than words. It has more depth. It has many
answers. Is there any better medium to understand things than silence? I doubt.
If there is really something
that one wants to understand, there is silence and even if one is speaking that
silence remains there. Now at this time in those words, silence works and it
changes the equation. It changes how one understands things.
One can speak out of that
silence. One says that one must speak out of that silence.
Why do we have to say
something? Is there any problem with not speaking? I guess there is for many
people. Many people feel uncomfortable if they are not speaking. Being silent
disturbs them. What takes place when they are silent? Can one see it? One can
see the chaos that is inside oneself, that takes over. That chaos comes into the
picture. This chaos disturbs oneself because it is there. It is not dead. It’s
there with oneself.
What is that chaos?
To convey this to somebody
they need to speak. But if one is seeing it by oneself, does one need anybody?
There, do you think speaking is important? Can you see that Seeing itself is
enough? Seeing itself is important.
Chaos needs explanation,
Silence does not.
